We got to spend this past weekend exploring the city of Atlanta, Georgia which is about a 2 hour road trip from where I currently go to school! We got an airbnb and stayed for one night just to experience the city. We drove up Saturday morning, and drove back Sunday around dinner time. Our time in Atlanta was super limited but we crammed a ton in! Below I’m detailing everything we did, and more importantly everything we ate.
Tupelo Honey For Brunch
Such great Southern food – they even serve you biscuits beforehand yes please! I’ve been here for lunch at their Greenville location and it is delicious! You have to get the potatoes if they don’t come with your meal.
We wanted to see Buckhead and this prestigious shopping center was only 10 minutes away from our brunch spot. Such a nice place to walk around and window shop. We also saw some seriously decked out cars being shown off parked along the street.
My personal favorite part of the trip. This park is seriously MASSIVE and it was so much fun to explore. There is a gazebo to sit under, a place to see the city skyline, and the biggest dog park I’ve ever seen. I could’ve spent all day here! This park is attached to the botanical gardens which are pricey but look beautiful.
We had to explore this market – I’m kind of obsessed with places like this! The area is so fun and unique & we got my favorite ice cream – the Columbus made Jeni’s! So delicious, get the Darkest Chocolate (pictured below – I also added the Vanilla Honey to mine) you will not regret it.
No Mas! Cantina For Dinner
Some delicious Mexican food to end off the day. This restaurant is HUGE and in the most random area. But the food is delicious, and you get a ton of it! We split the fajitas and had a ton to take home with us.
Ria’s Bluebird For Brunch
Of course I had to pick out an aesthetically pleasing brunch place. This cute little joint was nestled on a street corner and there were MASSES waiting out front. In all honesty we probably waited for an hour to be sat, and another hour for our food. But the chocolate chip pancakes made it all worth it. Get here early to avoid a wait, or maybe try to go on a weekday!
One of the coolest open air ‘malls’ I’ve ever been to! It has a huge food court on the bottom floor and unique shops throughout. They have places like Anthropologie, South Moon Under, Lululemon, and a ton of boutique shopping. Definitely a must see if you’re in Atlanta! We ventured here after our late brunch and stayed until we left – so fun! Keep in mind, parking costs here and so does going up to the rooftop.
Thanks For Reading! If you have anymore Atlanta recs I would love to hear them!
