My recent trip to New York City was filled with the extra as heck outfits I just can’t wear in my everyday life without a few dozen stares. We shopped in soho, walked the high line, ate TONS of delicious food and pushed our way through some serious crowds. You can read more about the trip itinerary here, but in this post I wanted to share ALL of the details about everything I wore! I filled this post with links and photos, so shop away! And head over to my Instagram to check out even more photos from my trip.
As you can all probably tell I had to rock my biggest coat on the plane because it simply didn’t fit into my suitcase – lol. I got this coat from Vamp, a local Columbus boutique, and I have LOVED it this trip! Sadly it is sold out, but I linked a similar one here and here!
I wore this long plaid coat from Rent The Runway (by The Fifth Label) over a basic black turtleneck with my everyday ripped jeans. I paired it with my Doc Martens and some new sunglasses (only $6) from Forever 21! I wore this outfit to walk from our hotel to Brunch/The Highline and walk around that area. It was in the 40s + sunny in NYC and this outfit was perfect! Shop it below.
My second day in New York City was my BIRTHDAY! So I threw on a pink sweater of course, and my favorite pair of ankle boots. I wore my Vamp coat overtop to stay warm when we went shopping in soho. There’s a better photo of my sweater below (without the coat) and I also linked it. It’s SO cute – the perfect pink! Also take note on these ankle boots… I walked three miles in them and they are in AMAZING shape. A must purchase + super affordable.
I wore this gorgeous dress from Rent The Runway by For Love and Lemons on the night of my birthday. I am LOVING the details and the fit was perfect (I got a medium). Such a beautiful dress made so affordable by Rent The Runway! Shop it + my accessories below.
I wore this pair of snakeskin pants + this tee + this jacket out to explore Brooklyn on my last day in NYC. This jacket (from Rent The Runway) was SO warm, and perfect for the windy and rainy weather. I loved the way it looked with the snakeskin pants and my Doc Martens. Plus my favorite ever trusty mini backpack from Lovoda!
+ my pants (similar, from this same boutique)
Airport Outfit #2
This was not taken the day I went to the airport… but it was the EXACT same outfit I wore on the plane. Oops. I got this pink Champion set while I was shopping in Soho and I have NOT taken it off! I am seriously obsessed with it. It was perfect for a rainy trek to breakfast AND an airport ootd. Shop below!
